  • SMS platform: text message marketing and cart abandonment reminders

We use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies from advertising partners (including Google Ads and Meta/Facebook) to deliver targeted advertisements and measure ad effectiveness. 3.3 Business Transfers

If The LA Facialist is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or bankruptcy, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

For California residents, notification will be made consistent with California Civil Code Section 1798.82. We aim to provide notification within 72 hours of becoming aware of a qualifying breach.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Site and services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at info@thelafacialist.com. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to promptly delete that information from our records.

8. SMS/Text Message Communications

By providing your phone number and opting in to receive text messages from The LA Facialist, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing and transactional text messages, including cart reminders, order updates, and promotional offers.

  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message. You will receive a confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent.
  • For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us at info@thelafacialist.com.
  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.
  • Your opt-in consent and phone number will not be shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.

By opting in, you confirm that you are the subscriber or customary user of the phone number provided and that you are authorized to opt in to receive text messages at that number.

9. Your Privacy Rights

9.1 All Users

Regardless of your location, you have the right to:

  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights. You will not receive different pricing, quality of service, or access to our products for exercising your rights.

To submit a request, email us at info@thelafacialist.com with the subject line "California Privacy Rights Request." We will verify your identity before processing the request and respond within 45 days. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

9.3 Categories of Personal Information Collected (California Disclosure)

In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers: name, email address, phone number, mailing address, IP address, account credentials
  • Commercial information: purchase history, products viewed, shopping cart contents, order details
  • Internet/electronic activity: browsing history on our Site, search queries, interactions with our emails and advertisements

We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account numbers (payment processing is handled by Shopify Payments), precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, union membership, genetic data, or biometric data.
