Name: Candace Marino

Instagram: @thelafacialist

Daily Uniform: My uniform for the past decade has been a version of jeans or printed bell bottoms, a t-shirt, a leather jacket, and ankle boots.

AM ritual: Laying in my bed until the very last possible moment. I really want to be that person who gets up and does like 20 things before 8am but my bed is so comfortable, and it brings me so much joy to lay there with my puppy. Once I’m up I make coffee and play in the yard with Pepper.

PM wind down: Opening the windows, lighting my fireplace and some candles, and reading.

Something that helps you stay in a positive mindset: Practicing gratitude. It's impossible to feel down or have negative thoughts when I take inventory of all of the blessings in my life.

A life changing realization that you’ve had: Comparing the death of a loved one to them going on a vacation, you can’t interact with their physical form, but you can still communicate with them in spirit. I recently lost my boxer Bina, who I still talk to,  I ask her for very specific things, and she always delivers.

A wellness expert who has significantly helped you: Danielle Searanke (@squamishmedium) is a mentor I’ve been working with over the last few months who has really helped me become more spiritually aligned while helping me live my purpose.  For me, true wellness comes down to my mindset and spirituality; when I'm out of practice life feels chaotic, and when I’m in tune my life is insync and aligned and I can feel that I am living my purpose and am supported by the universe.

Favorite wellness/beauty book: Ambitchous by Katie Boyd

Go-to stress remedy: Getting a weekly massage

Supplements you can’t live without: Lypospheric vitamin C, zinc, garlic, and vitamin D.

Three things you’re really into right now: Giving my puppy baths and blow drys, mediumship, Nashville.

Top three favorite online shops:

LuisaViaRoma

FarFetch

The LifeStyled Co

Top three Instagram accounts for inspiration: Honestly, Instagram has made me feel less inspired lately. I feel like we’ve all lost our creativity, and everyone's beginning to act and look the same. I’m trying to spend less time scrolling and more time indulging in the things that genuinely interest me.

Your ultimate indulgence: Flying JetBlue Mint. The food, the drinks, the cozy pod, and the fact that I can’t answer the phone has turned the misery of traveling into something I really look forward to.

Three things you’re grateful for: Freedom. I feel like way too many people take this for granted. I am so grateful for this and say it out loud every day.

My physical and mental health. I’m able bodied and my baseline is happy

The people in my life- family, friends, my staff, clients, and brands I work with, I'm surrounded by so much love and support.

Must-have Agent Nateur product:

Holi (cleanse) cleansing oils are a must have in my routine. I always begin my evening skincare ritual with an oil cleanse to break down makeup and sunscreen from the day. I’m a firm believer that without a first oil cleanse that the skin never gets truly clean.

I just recently started holi (mane) and so far I’m loving what I’m feeling. I do tend to feel less hungry with this supplement, which is always a good thing. I struggle with diet and making sure I get enough nutrients because I’m so busy and never plan time to eat, so this is definitely making me feel more awake and vital during the day.
